  • February 1, 2022 - returning players must register by this date to secure a spot on their team from last year.

  • March 11, 18, and 25, 2022 - Friday Night Skills Camp - Daniel's Park - 5:00-7:00 p.m.

  • End of March 2022 - Practices will begin for most teams.

  • March 25, 2022 - Coaches must submit dates to avoid playing by this date.

  • April 1 and 8 - Friday Night Skills Camp - Foothills Sports Arena - 6:00-8:00 p.m.

  • April 7, 2022 - Team Bracketing - Teams placed in the league.

  • April 9, 2022 - Softball Camp with Nicole Trimboli - links to register were sent out through SportsEngine email.

  • April 22, 2022 - Game schedule should go live.

  • May 6, 2022 - Deadline to purchase tickets for Day at the Colorado Rockies - get the form for tickets here.

  • May 22, 2022 - Day at the Colorado Rockies for Lakewood Softball. 1:10 game vs. NY Mets. Ticket pricing $20 upper level, $28 lower level - get the form for tickets here.

  • July 8-10, 2022 - End of Season Tournament - over the weekend.

  • There will be no games Memorial Day, July 1 and 4.

YOUTH SOFTBALL TEAMS FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

Lakewood Girls Softball was created to provide girls in Lakewood, Colorado a place to join a team, stay active, and develop great friendships. Girls who register to play in our program will learn the skills necessary to succeed in softball, as well as in life. We believe girls just starting out deserve the same opportunity to grow in this wonderful sport as much as girls who have been playing for a long time. We strive to provide a positive and safe environment for girls to participate in friendly competition.

WE PROVIDE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SOFTBALL

T-BALL AND COACH PITCH: The purpose of T-Ball and Coach Pitch is to introduce the girls to the fundamentals of fastpitch in a fun and supportive environment. Ages 4-5 and beginners at age 6 play T-Ball. T-Ball plays with less girls on a team. There are no outfielders. This allows more girls to make plays in the field. 6-7 year olds play Coach Pitch. If a batter does not hit the ball off the coach, a tee will be placed and the batter gets to hit off of it. Ages are based on birth years as of January 1st.

8U and 9U: Players at this level play Modified Kid Pitch. The games include live pitching from players, but there are no walks. If a batter is walked, the coach comes in and pitches to their player. This ends up in either a hit or an out. This speeds up the game for the girls and allows them to make plays in the field.

10U-14U: This age lets the girls continue to develop their skills and focus on having fun. No previous experience is required to play and we have had several girls start and flourish at this age.

16U: This age is offered if there are enough teams in the Jefferson County to support it. Please reach out to us if you have someone interested at this age. We have connections to other organizations if we do not have enough to play.

Lakewood Girls Softball needs your help. We strive to keep our player fees and operating costs as low as possible. However, every year there are players who would love to play softball, but can’t afford the cost of player fees. Our King Soopers Community Rewards program is a fundraiser set up to allow Lakewood Softball to offer full or partial scholarships to deserving players. You can help by being a supporter of the Lakewood Softball Scholarship program.
